The Shout Mission: To cover America's local church students with praying adults.

Prayer first. Hi! My name is Steve Gervasi, a pastor of 25 plus years. In August of 2004, a Nashville business man, a veteran Student Minister, and I launched a non-profit ministry called The Exchange Network (EXN).

Through EXN we aim to train and mobilize mentors into local church student ministries providing a network of support for young people who are serious about breaking-free from the pull of a post-modern culture.

THE VERY FIRST TYPE OF MENTOR EVERY STUDENT NEEDS IS A PRAYER MENTOR.

My son Justyn and I are on a crusade to mobilize thousands of prayer mentors beginning in our home town area of Columbia, Tennessee.

Epicenter. In December of 2004, my dad and I completed a 700 mile bicycle trip from Flint, Michigan to our home town of Columbia, Tennessee. All along the way we lifted up a shout for the younger generation. It was an amazing journey.

Once again in April, 2005, we rode another 700 miles, this time 700 miles in and around Columbia, TN.

We called our April ride Here’s My Shout: Epicenter. Our goal was to begin a prayer movement for youth and young adults that would become an earthquake of prayer and support.

We're dreaming of 7000 adults praying for one student each in our home town area alone and tens of thousands beyond! Could you imagine tens of thousands of people praying for students across our nation every day!

Well, I'm very excited to report, as a result of our Epicenter Ride we have a growing number participating Shout churches. And we've just begun.

Emilye's church launched The Shout Prayer Mentor Ministry in February of '05 with 300 prayer mentors and now has over 450 mentors praying for students!

We dedicated our first 700 mile ride, Shout: North to South, to Emilye, a beautiful then 16-year-old who is recovering from an addiction to drugs and alcohol.

Like so many teens, Emilye has parents, a church family, and friends who love her deeply, yet, still, she has been unable to resist the pull of the culture.

100's of people all along our trek prayed for Emilye. Through the power of prayer, love, and Jesus Christ, Emilye is finding the freedom she has long desired!

Emilye's story is representative of an entire generation who has been victimized by a materialistic culture gone wild.

But we believe prayer can turn the tide!
